Completing Intent for Membership

NRHH has established an ongoing application system called "Candidate Membership." This allows interested members to begin involvement with NRHH and work towards becoming an inducted member within their second semester with the organization. To apply for Candidate Membership, complete the Membership Intent Form. 

Qualifications for Candidate Membership

  • Live in the residence halls during time of application - you do not have to live on-campus for duration of involvement
  • Exhibit outstanding leadership and service within the halls through your actions and participation as a resident, leader, and candidate member of NRHH
  • Complete a Membership Intent Form

Expectations of Candidate Members

Candidate Members participate in a Point System in which members must obtain 15 points to be eligible for induction into the 'Scarlet and Cream Chapter of NRHH.' Candidate Members can track their points using an online point tracker. There are many simple ways to earn points, as seen below:

  • Submit required intent form – 1 Point
  • Reach out and interact with an Executive Board member – 1 Point
  • Attend scheduled NRHH General Meetings – 2 Points/meeting
  • Attend additional meetings deemed necessary by the President – 1 Point/meeting
  • Submit a quality OTM – 2 Points/OTM
  • Attend/assist with NRHH events – 3 Points/event
  • Hold a leadership position associated with Residence Life (e.g. Programming Board member, Resident Assistant [RA], Desk Assistant [DA]) - 1 point/position
  • Hold a leadership position on campus (e.g. Recognized Student Organization [RSO], Greek Life, department student advisory board, research) - 0.5 point/position

Candidate Members may qualify for induction in Spring 2027 if they complete their 15 points by TBD. Otherwise Candidate Members will be inducted during the following spring semester when they complete their point requirements.

Intent Review

All membership intent forms will be reviewed as they are submitted. Interested members will be invited to attend the upcoming Chapter Meeting and any upcoming events to begin their engagement. Those who have completed their Candidate Membership points requirements (15 points) by the semester deadline will be required to attend NRHH Induction.

NRHH Induction

NRHH Induction for the Spring 2027 class is tentatively scheduled for TBD. If you submit an application, we ask that you please hold time in your calendar to be able to intend NRHH Induction if you are selected for membership once the final date for induction has been shared.
