COVID-19 Response: At this time, NRHH has made the decision to cancel our St. Baldrick's in person event for the year. NRHH would like to continue to encourage donations through the use of the website below to help contribute to finding a cure for children with cancer. However NRHH realizes families may be limited on available funds. We apologize to anyone looking forward to our annual event and want to provide thanks to all those who continue to help in whatever way possible in fighting pediatric cancer.
The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that was founded in 1999 with the aim of raising funds to help find cures for children with cancer by shaving heads in support of raising funds. The inaugural event was hosted on March 17, 2000 where $104,000 was raised by 19 shavees. Thanks in large part to these events, St. Baldrick’s has been able to grant more than $253 million to support the development of childhood cancer treatments.
Worldwide, a child is diagnosed every 2 minutes with cancer. More children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease and more than many other diseases combined. The National Residence Hall Honorary hosts Shave for the Brave each year in hopes to help find a cure and we hope you will join us in raising funds for life-saving childhood cancer research. With your help fundraising, more children and families are finding hope for a cure. View the several ways you can help below.
